Wyoming Bans Delta-8 THC Starting July 1

As of July 1, Wyoming has officially prohibited the sale and possession of Delta-8 THC. According to a report from K2 Radio, this new law categorises Delta-8 as a controlled substance similar to Delta-9 THC, which is the psychoactive component commonly found in marijuana. The prohibition aims to close loopholes that allowed Delta-8 products to be sold legally under the guise of hemp derivatives.

Law enforcement and regulatory bodies in Wyoming are gearing up to implement this ban, emphasising the need for clear guidelines and public education about the new legal restrictions. Retailers previously offering Delta-8 products must now remove these items from their shelves or face legal consequences. This move reflects a growing trend among states to regulate emerging cannabinoids more strictly.
