A Michigan high school teacher and two parents are facing serious legal trouble following an alleged drug deal on New Year’s Eve. Christopher Michael Filiccia, 46, a teacher at Lincoln High School in Macomb County, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, a felony carrying up to four years in prison. Filiccia was arrested on 31st December and later arraigned in Warren 37th District Court, where Judge Suzanne Faunce set a $5,000 personal bond.
The incident also led to the arrest of Deangelo Ramone Daniel, 42, and Racquel Dubose, 35. Both face 12 charges, including delivery and manufacturing of a controlled substance, maintaining a drug house, concealing a firearm, and multiple child abuse counts. Their bonds were set at $200,000 and $50,000, respectively.
The trio is due for a probable cause hearing before Judge Steve Bieda on Thursday, 16th January, at 8:45 a.m. in the Warren District Court. The charges highlight growing concerns about community safety and the influence of drugs within local environments, including schools.
Authorities continue to investigate the case, as legal proceedings unfold for the three defendants.
The community is in shock, realising the urgent need to stand united against the growing threat of drugs and its impact on their lives.
