Employers across the United Kingdom can attend a free expert-led workshop that tackles workplace addiction. Telford-based organisation A Better Tomorrow and HR consultancy Triangle HR host the event. The event focuses on equipping managers with the skills and strategies to identify, address, and support addiction in the workplace.
The interactive half-day workshop will take place on April 10 at Weston Park, located on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border. It promises to deliver actionable insights through real-life case studies, expert-led discussions, and practical activities. The goal is to help organisations foster a supportive and resilient workplace culture while addressing the challenges of addiction.
Nikki Hall, managing director of Triangle HR, spoke about the significance of the event. “Addiction is an issue that touches many lives, and this workshop offers employers a unique opportunity to understand its workplace impact and explore ways to offer meaningful support,” she said.
Scott Morgan, CEO of A Better Tomorrow, along with COO Martin Cantrill, will share their personal experiences with addiction and recovery. Their presentations will highlight the role workplaces can play in supporting employees facing these challenges.
The session covers key outcomes, including recognising early warning signs of addiction in the workplace. It also focuses on using empathetic intervention strategies and understanding legal obligations. Additionally, it provides guidance on implementing best practices to promote a healthier work environment.
Scott Morgan noted, “Creating a workplace where employees feel safe and supported to seek help leads to long-term benefits for both individuals and businesses.”
The event begins at 9.30am and will include topics on addiction awareness, strategies for recovery, and networking opportunities. A Better Tomorrow, founded in 2014, has supported over 3,700 people in recovery and works closely with local councils to deliver life-changing services.
Spaces are limited, so employers should secure their spots quickly to benefit from this opportunity to improve workplace wellbeing.
