U.S: Pittsfield High School Dean Accused of Cocaine Trafficking

The dean of students at Pittsfield High School, Massachusetts, has been arrested and charged with running a large-scale cocaine trafficking operation. Lavante Wiggins, 30, was taken into custody on Tuesday alongside Theodore “Monty” Warren, 42, who prosecutors allege acted as Wiggins’ drug runner.

Federal investigators uncovered the scheme through a cooperating witness, whose purchases from Wiggins and Warren were documented via text messages. According to court filings, the witness had accumulated $34,000 in drug debt and sought to buy 500 grams of cocaine while paying off $15,000. Text exchanges between Wiggins and the witness detailed delivery delays involving Warren.

Both Wiggins and Warren faced a federal court in Springfield on Tuesday. While prosecutors did not pursue detention, Magistrate Judge Katherine A. Robertson ordered the accused to avoid contact with victims, witnesses, or each other outside of legal representation. Warren was also instructed to comply with GPS monitoring as part of the conditions of his release.

The case has sent shockwaves through the local community as details of Wiggins’ alleged double life emerge, highlighting a serious breach of trust in the education system.

People are shocked and wondering how this could happen at a school. The community is dealing with the broken trust.
