New Mexico Cannabis Products Withdrawn Over Safety Concerns

In Albuquerque, New Mexico, the state Cannabis Control Division has identified a cannabis flower containing a prohibited pesticide, prompting a recall. The affected products, from WH Agriculture, LLC DBA Maggie’s Farm, were sold between 6 March and 1 August this year. These products were distributed across several dispensaries, including R. Greenleaf, Loud Cloud, Everest, and House of Blaze, in cities such as Albuquerque, Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Los Lunas, Sunland Park, Belen, and Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Although no health-related complaints have been reported, Afton Frischmann, owner of House of Blaze, swiftly removed the product from shelves and personally informed customers who purchased the affected items. The CDC notes that while the pesticide is not lethal, high doses can cause dizziness, headache, and nausea. Frischmann assured that her business will seek a certificate of analysis from vendors moving forward to ensure product quality and compliance.
