New Hampshire’s House of Representatives voted Thursday to kill a bill that would have legalised recreational marijuana, dashing hopes for legalisation in the state for now. The vote makes New Hampshire the only state in New England that has not legalised recreational marijuana in some form.
Despite passing the House multiple times in the past, legalisation bills have consistently stalled in the state Senate. This year, a compromise bill negotiated by lawmakers from both chambers failed to garner enough support for passage in the House.
