The legalisation of cannabis has proven to be a Pandora’s box, unleashing a host of misuse and addiction issues that detrimentally affect our communities. The increasing cases of dependency and associated adverse effects spotlight the urgent need to revisit our stance on its legal status. Prevention is the best policy; legalisation merely fosters an environment ripe for abuse and long-term societal harm.
