Illegal Marijuana Grow Site in Klamath County Uses 295,000 Gallons of Water

The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office recently conducted a raid on a property owned by 70-year-old Roxie Ann Ottenbacher, uncovering a significant illegal marijuana operation. During the search, police found five large greenhouses containing approximately 3,780 illegal marijuana plants. The site was equipped with thousands of feet of PVC piping, plastic drip tubing, potentially harmful fertilisers, and large amounts of trash and debris.

In addition to the illegal grow operation, authorities discovered that nearly 295,000 gallons of water had been used illegally over three months to sustain the plants. This massive unauthorised water usage highlights the environmental impact and resource strain caused by illegal marijuana cultivation. Law enforcement continues to investigate and address these illicit activities.
