Speaking at the Osteopathic Medical Education Conference, Berry highlighted that today’s cannabis boasts significantly higher potency levels than in the past, escalating the risk of adverse effects. He warns that commercial interests heavily promote medicinal cannabis, often overshadowing the serious risks tied to its chronic use.

These risks, particularly among younger users, include a rise in suicides, major depression, and psychosis.
