A former Massachusetts marijuana company, Trulieve, has been fined $350,000 for safety violations following the death of an employee.
The employee, 27-year-old Lorna McMurrey, died from occupational asthma after exposure to ground cannabis according to the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission, which also found that Trulieve violated several safety regulations. Trulieve has since closed down its operations in Massachusetts.
